We are in need of a German and a French interpreter during a deposition on
June 9th in Frankfurt, Germany. Has anyone arranged this before? Any
recommendations good and bad?

Thanks in advance for you input.

I wish I could. I took a deposition in Germany 15 years ago and it was, to
put it mildly, a terrible problem. As for interpreters, that is the least of
the problem! As I understand basic German Law there is some risk that taking
a deposition as we would in the states is a crime. What we did was to take
the "discussion" in German and then have it translated at trial. We had an
interpreter read the depo into the record. It is a very long story that is
not funny even after all of these years.

Hi, my name is Sara Zoida and I am an account executive with LegaLink
Worldwide Court Reporters. We have reporters based in Paris & London who
could handle the depositions without any legal ramifications due to visa
issues. We can also arrange for a local interpreter to handle the
translation. If you are interested in assistance coordinating everything
please call me at (800) 826-0277.

Thanks

Sara
