Randall Consulting has decided to remove the price tag associated with
its recently released EDD basics exam. Just in time for the holidays you
can now take this final update exam maybe after all the stuffing and
shopping is over this upcoming holiday weekend. This 100 question exam
was created to see how much you know in relation to the electronic
discovery lifecycle. How many of your employees understand the basics of
electronic discovery? This will help flesh out which employees may need
EDD training. There are 10 topics covered. Each has 10 questions. All
questions are either multiple choice or true and false.

There has been a lot of buzz lately in regards to e-discovery
certification and especially certification for attorneys. While I do
agree with most people that e-discovery certification for attorneys is
not needed for several reasons. I do agree with other organizations that
some type of certification is needed. However, certification should
only be offered by those companies that truly understand electronic
discovery from top to bottom.

Randall Consulting has gone back and forth on if we wanted to offer any
type of certification with the EDD basics exam. In the end we decided
against it for a few reasons. One as a whole it was decided that
offering a certification for a basic exam was not the way to go.
Especially since 95% of this exam is multiple choice. If someone barely
passed yet guessed right on say 6-7 questions should that person have a
certification from an exam. We still feel the best type of certification
is the one where an exam is taken but only after the individual has
taken an electronic discovery class.

With that being said we plan to offer a more advanced exam in 2010 and
will revisit the certification question.

This is the most basic electronic discovery exam that will be offered by
Randall Consulting. Remember this just because you guessed correctly
does not mean you fully understand that specific question or topic.

This exam can be taken as a .SWF file (flash player needs to be
installed), .HTM or even as an interactive .PDF file. If taking this
exam in .PDF form the latest version of Adobe is needed. Either Adobe 9
Reader or Pro.
