To IPRO & Concordance customers,

There is a confirmed issue with Concordance 2007 linking to the IPRO
Viewer that did not occur in previous versions of Concordance. We
have discovered a workaround that will allow communication from
Concordance 2007 to the IPRO Viewer. We have been in contact with
LexisNexis and are working with them on a full solution to this issue.

Please use the following settings to link your Concordance 2007 to the
IPRO Viewer.

- Under Concordance 2007's "Tools | Preferences | Viewer" menu item,
there is a "Viewer" drop down selection box. DO NOT use the "IPRO"
setting.

- Please set this to "CPL"

- Once set, the selection areas for "Application Path" and "DDE
Topic" will disappear.

- Please set the "Viewer CPL" to point to your copy of IPRO's
"ddeiview.cpl" . You will have to paste the pathfilename into this
box, as there is no "browse" button available there.

This will enable Concordance to communicate to IPRO and work as
normal. However, the backward link from IPRO to Concordance 2007 is
not fully functional. The absolute Goto command will work but the
Next and Previous result links do not function.

From our testing, it appears the DDE commands PGUP and PGDN are no
longer accepted by the new version of Concordance. We verified this
using a DDETEST application originally sent to us from Dataflight
several years ago.

We will continue to work with LexisNexis until a full solution is
found for the backward link, and the inoperative "IPRO" viewer
configuration item in the Preferences section of Concordance 2007.

Thanks Carl. Once again IPRO responds to raised
issues and concerns. Its a good thing they actually
monitor this listserve.
