Summation -- specifying sort order

I have a question and hope there is an easy solution. My database
won't sort by the Docid field when you open the database or when you
perform a search, despite the fact that I have set the sort order to be
sorted by Docid. Weird, huh? When you open the database, it defaults
to record 416, and when you perform and search and then go back to load
all summaries, it goes back to record 416. Also, my folders set up for
key issues don't sort by the Docid field. When I populate my folders,
they just are haphazard in there until I sort the column. What gives?

First, back up the database and then I would start with a Check, Pack and
Blaze and then see if you can get the database to sort properly. If you
have set the sort order to DocId in OptionsUtilitiesSet Sort Order the
next time you open the database in column view the data base should sort
properly. Another thing to check is in OptionsDefaultsDatabase. Check to
see what the note sort length is and set it at 60.

Ultimately, If this continues I suggest reporting it to tech support.

Are you sure that the field with the data is actually Docid? Could it
have another name but be labeled Docid?
