|
|
Good Day Listmates,
I'm stuck on this and would greatly appreciate any thoughts or paths
that may help with discovering what the solution is.
I believe I've isolated the performance issue to be with one case on the
network. The problem is the speed of the database, opening the case,
navigation through records, clicking on Menu items etc.
Here're the steps I've taken to analyze the problem.
1. On a user's machine the case opens slow, however other cases open
quickly and navigation through records is quick.
2. On other machines the case opens fine and moves quickly
3. Opening the case with the user's logon from a different machine
works fine, again the database opens and navigates quickly to the next
record.
4. Renaming the user profile doesn't change in the performance also.
5. The memory on the user's machine is over 500MB
6. The NIC card on the user's machine is configured for 100
The above leads me to believe it's environmental however it's not clear
where the problem exist within the environment.
Any ideas??
Thanks,
Janee Davis

Solved (I hope).
Deleting the profiles from "both" folders (database and casedata seems
to have resolved the issue).
Thanks

if this case has ocr and others don't it could be a virus scanning issue
(others may have different settings, or not scan?)

Janee:
What is the size of the database and OCRBase for the slow case as compared to the other
cases?
